Monica was the lead counsel representing four young women who were survivors of educator-on-student sex abuse that occurred at Lakewood High School. The perpetrator, Chad Curtis, was a former professional baseball player found guilty on six counts of criminal sexual conduct against female high school student-athletes, including Ms. King. Following a bench trial on King’s claims against Curtis, Monica achieved the court’s award to Ms. King of $1.8 million in damages.

I live in Traverse City with my family and feel grateful to call this place home. I also love traveling throughout the country to represent my clients. When I'm not at work, I'm usually trail running, playing with our sweet rescue pup, or spending hours in local bookstores.
I believe in clear communication, mutual respect, and showing up with integrity
